Financial Agreements (including 'Pre-Nuptial' Agreements)
You and your partner may wish to enter into a private contract - either before, during or following the breakdown of your marriage or de facto relationship - setting out how your assets are to treated in the event of the breakdown of your marriage or de facto relationships. Financial Agreements are binding and we recommend that you obtain legal advice about the impact of the Financial Agreement upon your rights under the Family Law Act 1975 and the advantages and disadvantages to you of entering into the Financial Agreement. A Financial Agreement must be certified by each parties' lawyer.
