Spousal Maintenance
Spousal maintenance may be payable if a former partner to the marriage or de facto relationship is unable to support themselves. Spousal maintenance may be provided by periodic cash payments,'in-kind' payments, for example, rent/mortgage, utilities, motor vehicle expenses, private health insurance, or a lump sum payment to be included in the final property settlement.
