Mediation

SMART SOLUTIONS. PERSONAL  ATTENTION.

Mediation can be used to avoid costly legal proceedings. Alternatively, mediation can be used to try to achieve a consent resolution once legal proceedings have commenced.

Mediation is a voluntary settlement process. A mediator is an impartial person who helps individuals to develop a mutually accepted agreement in a confidential setting. A mediator is unable to provide legal advice for the parties. The parties are encouraged to consult with their own lawyer so that they understand their legal rights.

Mediation is usually less expensive and speedier than litigation. It is a process that builds understanding and reduces conflict between parties. This is a particularly important aspect of mediation as many couples will have an ongoing relationship for years to come while they continue to parent their children.

We offer fixed fees for our mediation services.
